We believe we have the highest quality brush in the industry. Natural Boar Bristle is quite expensive! It is what makes our brushes a little pricier, BUT the benefits of having it make a world of difference in the finished piece.
The bristles are made from the finest Shanghai white bristle and the ferrule is made with nickel plated steel for rust resistance. Natural bristles vary in length, stiffness, and thickness; these qualities are very difficult to reproduce in other synthetic brushes. Natural bristles are used only in the best quality brushes.
Our bristle has naturally occurring split ends called "flags." Flags are very important as they enable the brush to retain more wax and to release it evenly throughout the stroke instead of all a once on the first contact point. Flags also provide an extra-smooth finish with minimal brush marks.
The result is that the wax is properly and evenly distributed and actually massaged into the wood. Creating a smooth, even finish and luster that can be buffed to your desired sheen.
